Dear colleges,

we would like to draw your attention to the following session :

V13: Magma Transport Through Dykes and Sills: Insights into Volcanic Unrest and Eruption Processes

*Sponsor:* Volcanology, Geochemistry, and Petrology
*Co-Sponsor:* Geodesy, Natural Hazards, Seismology, Tectonophysics

*Description: *Eruptive behaviour of volcanic systems is, to a large extent, governed by the dynamics of magma transport. Dykes and sills induce seismic and deformation signals that can be monitored at the surface. Also, where and how magma stalls in the shallow crust play a crucial role in determining the characteristics and time sequence of volcanic unrest. This session aims to bring computational and analogue modellers together with field geologists, petrologists, seismologists, geodesists and geophysicists in general to gain new insights and better constraints on magma transport and evolution within the crust as well as on volcanic unrest and eruptive activity.

See you in San-Francisco,

Sincerely,

The Conveners
