"Vesuvio a scuola" is a new book on Vesuvius risk education produced for
the Italian readers and educators in particular. It provides the
educational methods and examples from Vesuvius area schools on how to
educate elementary, middle, and secondary level students about the volcano
and its surroundings. The book also addresses the education of adults and
the failures of risk managers and their advisors in confronting the
Vesuvius problem seriously and from an interdisciplinary perspective. The
book includes 15 years of author's experiences working with the educators,
students and people living around Vesuvius and as such it compliments the
earlier Italian and English publications of the author (Educazione al
Rischio Vesuvio (1998), VESUVIUS: Education, Security and Prosperity
(2006)).
These books are available from www.amazon.com, www.elsevier.com, and other
book distributors.
