VMSG meeting
Trinity College Dublin  4-5 January
Call for contributions

SESSION: Active volcanoes, volcanotectonics and eruption types

The session aims to pull together a broad range of presentations that
deal with interrelated processes on active volcanoes. These include
deformation and instability of the edifice (volcanotectonics) and how
the magma responds by eruption to conditions in the edifice. Subjects
include research dealing with the relationship between intrusion of
magma and the crust or edifice; magma-generated surface deformation;
pre-eruption conditions in the crust and edifice; deformation and
edifice response during eruptions; and eruption types related to
specific volcanotectonic regimes. We intend for this session to lead to
a general discussion of magmatically active volcanotectonics and its
eruptive effects.

Deadlines: Oct 19 for abstracts

Registration and abstract submission at: (http://www.vmsg.org.uk/)

Conveners: H Tuffen (h.tuffen@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), Benjamin van Wyk de
Vries  (b.vanwyk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
