I want to encourage everyone to visit the session at IUGG entitled,
"New Techniques using Remote Sensing Data for Volcano Monitoring and
Analysis: Observations, Integration, Hazard Assessments and Modeling".
The oral presentations are 9Am-5:30 PM on Monday 9 July in Room G,
Department of Chemistry, University of Perugia, Ken Dean, Dave Rothery
and Valerio Lombordo are the conveners and session chairs.
The Poster session is that evening 6- 8 PM in the Main Hall, Baldeschi
Palace.
There will be a IAVCEI Remote Sensing Commission Meeting Tuesday evening
7:30 to 8:30 in the Academy of Fine Arts. There will be brief
presentations and discussions on existing and upcoming satellite for
volcano studies, including ESA Sentinel Mission, ASTER/Landsat, NASA
HyspIRI and NPOESS. Also, goals and activity of the commission will be
discussed.
