===============================================================

For Friday, April 10, crews plan to manage a prescribed burn on the Mint Project.

This will be a broadcast burn, approximately 1000 acres, located southeast of Mormon Lake, 2 miles east of Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road) off Forest Road 125.  The forecast winds will carry smoke northeast during the day.  Residual smoke may linger around Mormon Lake and Fulton Canyon in the evening and early morning.

As usual, all prescribed fire activity is dependant on weather, crew availability, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.

The Forest's prescribed fire activity is also available on the Prescribed Fire Hotline at 928-226-4607.  Additional information can be found on our website or by calling your local ranger station.
