For Thursday, April 9,  Crews on the Coconino National Forest plan to continue prescribed burning on the IMAX Project.

This is a maintenance broadcast burn, approximately 1000 acres, located west of Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road), northwest of Clints Well, off Forest Road 81.  Smoke, including residual smoke, is expected to move north with the forecast winds.  Smoke may impact Forest Highway 3, but should be lighter since this is a maintenance burn, and should dissipate quickly.

As usual, all prescribed fire activity is dependant on weather, crew availability, and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.

Prescribed fire activity is also available on the Hotline, 928-226-4607.
