Ok, this is how I build it on chimaera:

git clone --depth=1 git://github.com/linuxcnc/linuxcnc.git linuxcnc-dev
cd linuxcnc-dev/src
./autogen.sh
./configure  --with-python=python3 --enable-non-distributable=yes --with-realtime=uspace
make -k

Then I can run it with "linuxcnc-dev/scripts/rip-environment linuxcnc"
