Did you add these lines to your konquerorrc file?

[Trash]
ConfirmDelete=true
ConfirmTrash=true

In my file, these lines occur just before the lines for kuick-copy and 
kuick-move. If necessary, add the lines to the root version of konqerorrc, as 
well.
