Could you turn off auto expunge and all system folders? Try connecting to account with only INBOX folder. Make sure that other programs (standalone IMAP clients and 'telnet localhost 143') are not slowed. Or test SquirrelMail following set of settings ------- imap_server_type = other default_folder_prefix = <none> (set to empty string) trash_folder = Trash sent_folder = Sent draft_folder = Drafts show_prefix_option = false show_contain_subfolders_option = false optional_delimiter = detect delete_folder = false allow_server_sort = false allow_charset_search = false force_username_lowercase = false default_move_to_trash = false default_move_to_sent = false default_save_as_draft = false auto_create_special = false auto_expunge = false ------ If I had to trace why interface is slow, I would use APD or Zend platform to locate slow part of code. Not sure if you can do that on MacOS. Zend platform is more developer friendly once it is setup and developer uses Zend Studio. 30day trial is available for MacOS, but Zend Platform setup is complex and I am not sure if you can do that on production machine. You might be able to install apd from http://pecl.php.net/package/apd. You can find more information about use of apd on http://www.linuxjournal.com/node/7213/print -- Tomas NaSMail developer ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
