Apparently your other client doesn't expunge the mails after deleting
them, so this is the expected behaviour in SquirrelMail. You can configure
SquirrelMail to do the expunging to get rid of those mails for good. Run
"config/conf.pl", choose "3. Folder Defaults", and then "11. Auto Expunge
: true".
