I perfectly understand that the development version is not intended for a production system. It may have bugs. I have a Postfix+Cyrus-Imapd system. It works OK. Messages deleted from another email client, say Thunderbird, still show up in SquirrelMail. You can even read the body of the message. Albeit these messages are dimmed in color and have deleted icon.
