Standard courier maildir.  Easiest way to migrate is to get IMAP
accessibility to both servers with a client like Thunderbird and drag
and drop folders between accounts.  Otherwise, migration competely
depends on what the server/maildir/mailbox format and software was on
the old server (and it's off topic here -- better to search Google for
the myriad of migration tools once you understand the old
environment).

Make sure you ran conf.pl and chose option D and then typed in
courier.  After that, you need to show exact error messages and as
much more info about the nature of the IMAP setup on the new server
and any log messages you have access to.  Make SURE you know what the
real IMAP username is.  Maybe you need the Vlogin plugin.
