Note that if you simply turn off user ability to edit personal
identity in config/conf.pl, the username used to log in is
automatically used for outgoing emails, which may be enough for you.
2nd choice is probably the above plugin or one of the plugins that
asks the user for the relevant info.  Also, new unreleased version of
Vlogin can help with this if the original login username is the same
as the outgoing address.
