You have two choices: 1. you may log in to your IMAP server with thunderbird and download the sorted mails. 2. you may tell fetchmail to leave all messages on server (it's an configuration option). Then you have one mail environement in SM (sorted into folders) and all "raw" data on server. At home you can download the mails from POP3 server and do with them whatever you want...
