Thanks Alex! I assume that for a testing purpose it should be good enough if it came from a known source. My assumption is that if someone knows how to compile squid from sources he should be able to understand what binaries he requires for basic tests. I am not sure if it's since I am also a packager but pretty sure it's why I see it as OK. And... This is not my area of expertise. AFAICT, substituting v5 binaries with (properly built) v5 binaries will usually work, but it is not a supported (or necessary) Squid installation method.
