Hi, I'm having some trouble getting the things in place to install via the nfsroot and I can understand this would be causing others some trouble as well. Getting yet another LPAR carved out is not easy to justify and not everyone has the workstation close enough to the mainframe that you can run the nfsroot there. On VM you could fairly easy get two virtual machines and run the nfs server in one of them, but I would need to configure the extra network interfaces while the /linuxrc runs so that I don't need also extra IP addresses. Would it not be easier to load the small system on an extra disk by untarring rather than via NFS ? Rob
