Dependencies: RHEL2.1+3 and RHEL3+4

Hi,

Does anyone know how I'd go about creating two different
distribution version specific packages, one to support
both RHEL2.1 and 3, and one to support RHEL3 and 4 (I know:
"why would I do that?", but please bear with me)?

RedHat, in their infinite wisdom, decided to change the
decisive package name from "redhat-release-as" to just
"redhat-release" going from RHEL 2.1 to 3, so using a manual dependency "Requires: redhat-release... <= 3AS"
does not work for the 2.1+3 package, nor does "Conflicts:
redhat-release >= 4AS" (have tried).

Using dependencies against kernel version is not an option.

Any pointers?
