Not on this planet. :-)  The %buildroot path is normally under
/var/tmp or %{_tmppath} (which, in turn, usually points to /var/tmp).

So CHANGE IT.  You have an editor.  It's not that complicated. :-)

If you want a tool that can rebuild an SRPM automatically as a normal
user without you having to screw around with macros, download
Mezzanine (www.kainx.org/mezzanine/ -- I recommend the 1.8-0.20
version) and run this:

$ mzbuild foo.src.rpm
