I once posted in the RH Mailing list and I got a cool program from Michael Fratoni to restore everything. 1. Quickly save the file /var/log/rpmpkgs before it disappears 2. Read the thread http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/RedHat/2003-09/1158.html 3. Get this program: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/hacks/recover_rpm_db.sh and recover the whole thing. It will help you toreinstall all your programs from scratch without you losing your whole harddisk. Hope this helps.
