Thanks. But it doesn't work..

 unfortunately, the rpmbuild still fails at the stage of debuginfo... any other methods to skip the debuginfo? Thanks in advance.

Put:
%debug_package %{nil}

into your ~/.rpmmacros
That'll prevent the debuginfo packages from ever getting built.
