rebuilding kernel RPMs

Hi,

I’m currently using Redhat 9.0 (kernel version 2.4.20)

I want to apply some patches to the kernel. I’ve created a patch file that includes all my patches. Now I want to rebuild the kernel RPMs. I’ve installed kernel-2.4.20-8.src.rpm and added the patch file to the SOURCES directory. When simply trying to run:
> rpmbuild –ba kernel-2.4.spec

The patch file seems to be applied correctly. However, the only RPMs that were created are (all under the i386 dir):

  • Kernel-doc
  • Kernel-BOOT
  • Kernel-source

How can I build RPMs for i586 and i686 as well? I also want to build different kinds of kernels (bigmem, smp, etc.) for each architecture, how should I do that?

Thanks, Yuval
