You just need to make sure your SATA controller is supported. I've got a Silicon Image 3112.

Funny how you can never get rid of that "not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later" line. No matter what controller or hardware I've used, it's always there. I wonder what the hell (if anything) really is 100% native.
