change boot order

Hi list,

I run RH9 on an old laptop with only a PCMCIA-Ethernet Adapter. To use
this box on work, I have to mount the company's /home.

I am relatively new to Linux, but I am nearly sure, that Linux first
tries to mount all /etc/fstab filesystems and then starts the
PCMCIA-Adapter. This means, that I always have to mount the /home
manually.

Is it possible to change the order of jobs done while booting linux?

Thanks in advance,
Clemens von Musil
