Hi, Actually, I have two issues, the first one being that I have not heard from this list in two weeks. I have several e-mail accounts and all of them have been getting filled with this ridiculous Windope worm that is going around, but I have not received a single message from this and two other lists to which I subscribe at Red Hat (OS Now and K12ltsp). So I am hoping for some confirmation of receipt of this message and, perhaps, an explanation of why I haven't heard from anyone. Ok, that was simple enough. Now to the main matter at hand: I was having some issues with printing (which I finally narrowed down to a USB issue and solved), but in my quest to solve them I did a fresh install (congratualtions to me, I finally wiped off my windope partition and reclaimed my entire hard drive in the process...YEAH!). Now, I am having some issues with ounting my two CD drives (one is a burner). When I mount a CD in the drives, I often cannot remove the media, even upon unmounting it (drive won't open). Furthermore, if I do remove the media in question successfully (which only happens with the burner on occassion), when I insert new media, the computer won't recognize it, and, in fact, acts as if the previous media were still present. It used to be that left-clicking on the CDrom icons on my desktop would give me a menu that included "eject" as an option, that would work successfully to unmount media and leave the drive ready to accept new media, but this option no longer exists. I am afraid that I don't even know where to begin in diagnosing the problem, not understanding the process of mounting media with any depth (I have only been using Linux for about a year and a half, now). I would appreciate any assistance offerd with this issue, including instructions regarding what further information might be useful in it's diagnosis.
