I know it has been a long time since the above mail. Was just tidying up
my mailbox when I noticed that instead of chmod I have typed chown (See
above).

So it should be chmod 644 /etc/passwd

Just thought I will post the correction so if somebody else reads it
doesn't call me a jackass under his/her breath.
