Maybe but until they fix the scripts all you have to do is reboot the machine and select an interactive startup and not start the offending process. Once the machine is up fix the problem and you are set. There are several startup scripts that can do this (wvdial enabled with no modem connected comes to mind). It is annoying but not hard to workaround.
