It seems one of our ppl changed nfs on a box, but forgot to turn back on portmap, hence it hung at starting the NFSD, and hung and hung, popped up a msg about timeout after about 10 mins, but then unlike others doesnt bail out, this is the stupid bit because after 30 mins we gave up had to uncleanly shutdown, mount in rescue mode to fix it (read: start portmap) Just a lil suggestion for those who write these scripts, wouldnt it be better to bail out after that 10 min timeout, rather than sit there saying "I'm not gunna do another damned thing". -- Res - Network Solutions: clueless f'wits who dont care whos business they damage through their incompetance, which is the ONLY thing they excel at. -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
