For some reason Mandrake seems able/willing to use newer kernels and app
versions than RH, and reportedly with no fewer or greater QA problems
than RH. I prefer RH for a variety of reasons and as I just posted I
plan to set up a bleeding-edge RH box.

BTW: Is there a less unpleasant term than bleeding-edge? (Cutting edge
seems to have lost its value in describing "testing" and "testing" just
doesn't sound quite as exciting as "bleeding-edge"!)
