I haven't setup my Cisco PCCard yet in linux...but my Cisco Aironet 350 is fabulous! It a repeater or Bridge or AP, depending on the setup. Has a browser interface and telnet. Can run WEP encryption in both directions...Also can adust power out from 1 mw to 100 mw in several steps...Been working great for me under windows... just need the time to set it up in RH9.
