You need to download the version from the Tuxracer website. I did that and
it is working ok now. Sorry, can't remember the site name, but google will
bring it up when search for it there.

I removed Tux Racer, since previous comments in the list mentions that it
was compiled without sound support. Would installing the source (from the
Shrike CD's) provide sound support, or do I have to pass specific parameters
when installing ...?

I've tried the workaround previously mentioned on the list (for the default
"pre-installed" version), but had no success finding the varia (links, etc.)
required to get it working.

A look in rawhide doesn't show any newer version than tuxracer-0.61-19,
which was the on that I ghad *removed* from the system.
