Actually, I had already downloaded the gzipped tarballs from the site, but
I get this error message when I try to compile it:

"]# ./configure
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for working aclocal... missing

checking for working autoheader... missing
checking for working makeinfo... missing
checking host system type... configure: error: can not guess host type; you
must specify one
[root@xxxx"

What input is required of me to indicate "host type"? CPU?
(Running an AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.0 G, here).
... some 'newbie' level instructions would be appreciated...

Elton ;-)
