xine (but with gxine as the default interface, not the standard xine UI)

http://www.xinehq.de/

RPM packages (including all dependencies and stuff required by xine) at:

A modern Linux distro must have a media player.
But i'm saying that maybe because i have this bias towards multimedia. I
know, Red Hat, at this moment, is focused on other issues. But ya know
guys, Lindows is coming pretty fast. ;-)

Anyways, that fairy princess of yours must have a pretty damn strong
magic wand, to curb all the DeCSS and proprietary codecs stuff, so that
distributing that software with a Linux distribution does not put you in
legal hot waters. :-(

With blank CDs being below 0.25 $, and DVD becoming more and more an
interesting option for distributing software, why would anyone want to
remove anything? ;-)
