Configure your network with this command:
redhat-config-network

Then, start your network with:
service network restart

and verify that you have network interfaces with:
ifconfig

My hosts file says 127.0.0.1 localhost

My lmhosts says
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.2.19 localhost

Where is the system looking to find these items?
