True, that's something that looks theoretically ok. And it's not more
difficult than, say, configure the "relayhost" in Postfix (or whatever
the equivalent in other MTAs).

However, sometimes the performance of the ISP's mail relay is... less
than optimal. Anyone else here on a Comcast cable modem? ;-)
