Would you call this very popular bug "serious enough"?

Seams to have been fixed with redhat-config-network-1.0.3-1 for 7.x systems. http://people.redhat.com/harald/redhat-config-network/

I and probably all those in the Cc field of that report are aware of
that. *But* that location is not the official place where customer
expects an erratum for Red Hat Linux. It's difficult enough to find
this bug report (as you can conclude from the huge number of
duplicate reports) and the comment that leads you to the unofficial
download location.

As I also added, the problem isn't getting the bug fixed, it's getting it pushed out as an update. That's a process problem, probably due to resource limitation. Hopeful the new fee schedule will allow the need resources to be aquired to prevent that type of problem in the future.

As to dificulty finding it, bugzilla needs better searck capabilities. But once a new bug is marked as a duplicate, the filer get a notice of the previous bug, and can see it for a resolution. Not perfect, but it gets to the fix.
