Well, if you have that sort of requirement, you either build a kick-ass support group in your organization and roll your customized, tested distro, or contract support (which will require the use of the most proved, stable version of everything). Actually, RH enterprise release timeline is still much faster than Solaris. Not to mention IRIX, VMS and the other half-zombie OS's out there...
