Short answer: if you're looking for a _free_ Linux distribution for your critical servers, then perhaps Red Hat is not for you.

I'd phrase it like this: We've all realized that once you've decided your servers are more critical than a SOHO/hobbyist system, you're instantly in the datacenter/enterprise category with all of the associated costs. There doesn't seem to be a true middle ground and there aren't any indications of one appearing anytime soon.
