Configuring a USB FlashDisk

Hi.

I'm using a SEITEC USB BAR 128M (usb flash disk) and unable to get Redhat is "see" it. On inserting the device into the USB port, my machine noticably does some disk activity (for about 3 seconds) but no perceivable change occurs and no new file-system is mounted. Likewise, on removing the device, the PC seems to do more work - but no real change that I can see.

The device works fine under M$ and is USB 1.1 standards compliant (if that helps any).

I checked through usbmodules and /dev/usb/ for obvious devices but none could be mounted as a file system because no block device exists - only char devices.

If anyone has had success in mounting their USB flash disk as a read/write file system, I'd be greatful for your advice/help.
