Redhat comes with PAM_SMB and you can enable it with authconfig-gtk
or authconfig.  I use it all the time.  Read the README in
/usr/share/doc/pam_smb... or search for the main pam_smb website.
After you enable pam_smb and adduser[s] without adding any passwds on
box A, you can add your users/smbpasswd to your samba server [box B]
and when they login to A they auth from B.  
It's very easy to setup.
