GRUB is installed on my SCSI subsystem only.  The IDE drive is a new
introduction into this box.

I don't understand why GRUB would become confused like this when I
have BIOS set to boot SCSI first, then ATAPI CDROM.  ATAPI HDD is not
selected as a boot option in any order.  I don't want my system
dependant on this IDE HDD as it may be moved to another box at a later
date.
