Alright I found some gcc rpms gcc-3.2-7.rpm and others but I'm still getting these messages. # ./configure loading cache ./config.cache checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for working aclocal... found checking for working autoconf... found checking for working automake... found checking for working autoheader... found checking for working makeinfo... missing checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... yes checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) is a cross-compiler... no checking whether we are using GNU C... yes checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E checking for c++... no checking for g++... no checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C++ compiler (gcc ) works... no configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot create executables. I ran gcc-3.2-7 and I think I ran gcc-c++3.2-7 but it didn't give me any message that it was working on installing the gcc-c++ rpm Also, are dev.tools that were not part of my original installation actually called dev.tools or do they go by another name?
