Re: FTP issues - Solved :)

Hello, Everyone :)
I just had a flash of inspiration and I looked for the gFTP
configuration file in my home directory, to see if anything was
obviously amiss, when I located the following:

# This defines what will happen when you double click a file in the file
# listboxes. 0=View file 1=Edit file 2=Transfer file
list_dblclk_action=0

When I edited the file and changed the "0" to "2", voila!, my problem
was fixed :) When I looked for the configuration file for kbear, I
found nothing obviously wrong in it, so I just deleted it, and when I
started kbear back up, it worked correctly also :) But I guess I'm
still curious: why did the setting related to this issue change in both
applications, when I did nothing to change it. It almost appears to
have changed on it's own :( My wife doesn't use Linux on our computer,
and no one else has access to it, so it's a mystery.... I do have a
suspicion that it may have been done by our cat Linus (pronounced
Lee-nus. Guess who we named him after.... :))

Sorry to have bothered you :), I guess I need to have more confidence in
my investigative abilities. That, and my brother Dave, our families
resident Linux guru called me a genius once :)

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas about how that setting got changed in
both apps, please let me know.

Thanks for your help, and have a great day :)
