I am still not sure what you are doing. You can use kppp from Gnome. Otherwise you
can set up the ppp connection using redhst-config-network. Ther bring it up by
running ifup ppp0. Or if you decide to have it happen on boot it will happen on
boot. Under no circumstances do you run ifcfg-ppp0 directly.
That us done by ifup.
