# Actually I'm looking for a realtime mirroring solution. I have 2 PC,
# one is my PDC (Samba) and the other one should be my backup system (Is
# there a BDP solution in Samba implemented like in windows ? I don't
# think so!). For this the files on PC1 shall be mirrored to PC2 in
# realtime. Whenever PC1 fails, I have ascript, that will enable smb on
# PC2, chenges his IP adress and the time out will be very short. We
# currently have no money for an expensive prof. solution.

I would just use rsync to sync the data/config files.
