OK, again, it seems, that I didn't explain correctly what I'm looking for, sorry. Actually I'm looking for a realtime mirroring solution. I have 2 PC, one is my PDC (Samba) and the other one should be my backup system (Is there a BDP solution in Samba implemented like in windows ? I don't think so!). For this the files on PC1 shall be mirrored to PC2 in realtime. Whenever PC1 fails, I have ascript, that will enable smb on PC2, chenges his IP adress and the time out will be very short.
