The problem affects all users, including root, so rebuilding one user's dot-gnome directories will not fix it. There have been no tty errors. The error messages I saw immediately prior to this problem were: Error (-) Application "gnome-panel" (process 1115) has crashed due to a fatal error. (Aborted) Error (-) Application "battstat-applet-2" (process 1140) has crashed due to a fatal error. (Segmentation fault) These resisted clearing, and repeated many times. When they ultimately did cease, G2 was useless. --Doc Savage Fairview Heights, IL -- Psyche-list mailing list Psyche-list@redhat.com https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/psyche-list
