I tried fooling with that idea but it requires patching every time there
is an update which tends to complicate things a bit.

Might be better to use procmail to deliver mail to specific folders...

i.e.

mkdir ~/mymail

i.e. procmail rule...

:0:
* ^TO_my_email_address@my_domain
mymail/new_inbox

and then subsribe to ~/mymail/new_inbox
