Scott, The key lines of the output are: CPAN.pm: Going to build L/LD/LDS/GD-2.02.tar.gz NOTICE: This module requires libgd 2.0.1 or higher. For earlier versions of libgd, use GD version 1.43. Checking what 8.0 installs by using rpm, I get: $ rpm -qa | grep '^gd-' gd-devel-1.8.4-9 gd-1.8.4-9 So your version of GD as installed in 8.0 is less than what you need for the latest, greatest version of Perl-GD. Your best solution is to either go to a CPAN mirror and get GD version 1.43, or to see if you can upgrade libgd and the gd-devel package to the appropriate version. Hope this helps, Rob Scott Kindley wrote: >I have a cgi app that requires the perl-GD cpan module.
