redhat needs to update it's tools then.  xfree86 should be fine.

it's not needed.  the useless secondary id's have been removed from the
radeon driver and all new chip ids for recent radeon cards should be in
cvs now and will be available in xfree86 4.4 which will be released
very soon now.
