If this is a problem for users, I can remove the ugly luxi.ttf fonts and the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF directory for the next release so as not to cause confusion for people. I only provided the font because it comes with X, and I figured I'd let the user decide wether or not they want it. Not including /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF is not a bug, it is intentional. Not running fc-cache is an oversight, but doesn't cause harm. It'll be fixed in the future. -- Mike A.
